Leaders on the campaign trail

The three main national party leaders have announced their scheduled public appearances for today, five days before the election. According to the Canadian Press, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is in Halifax for an announcement. Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole starts in Jonquiere, Que. for an announcement at a Legion hall and then is in Orford, Que. for an event with supporters. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will be in six Ontario cities – Essex, London, Welland, Hamilton, Brampton and Concord, with four meetings with supporters, an announcement on long-term care and a Twitch event scheduled.

Jensen Hughes obtains foothold in Australia

Risk-based engineering consultant Jensen Hughes, based in Baltimore, Md. has announced the acquisition of BCA Logic, an Australian firm active in code consulting and performance-based design engineering. The acquisition of BCA Logic marks the company’s first entry into the Australian market, where recent legislative changes are expected to drive growth in the fire engineering industry, stated a release.

Ledcor announces leadership changes

Vancouver-based Ledcor has announced Ron Stevenson is assuming a new role at the company as vice-chairman. Tom Lassu has been promoted to president of the Ledcor Group and Jeff Watt is president of Ledcor Industries. The changes were effective as of Sept. 14.

New hire for Perkins+Will

The New York studio of global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will has announced the appointment of Laura Morris as its new health practice leader. An expert in health care interior design, Morris will participate as the firm aims to expand its portfolio across the U.S and beyond.
