Progressive Planet welcomes Lacey to board
Vancouver-based Progressive Planet Solutions has announced the appointment of Peter Lacey as an independent member of its board of directors. Lacey’s record in directing the expansion of firms includes the development of Cervus Equipment Corporation into a firm with 64 global dealerships. Progressive Planet has developed low carbon, pozzolan-based, cementing products to replace Portland Cement and fly ash in concrete.
Federal leaders in final week of campaign
With six days to go before the federal election, the three main leaders have announced their itineraries for today. According to the Canadian Press, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole will be in Russell, Ont. for an announcement and then Ottawa where he will hold a virtual town hall for voters in Atlantic Canada. NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will make an announcement in Toronto on the cost of cellphone bills and will attend a campaign event in Kitchener, Ont. and later another in Windsor, Ont. Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will make an announcement in Richmond, B.C.
BCCR holds mining industry update
The British Columbia Construction Roundtable is holding a virtual session with an update on the province’s mining industry on Sept. 23 from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. The event will feature Mining Association of B.C. CEO Michael Goehring and will give an overview of the sector including major greenfield and brownfield projects with near-term development potential. Those interested can register here.
