EDMONTON, ALTA. – PCL Construction Inc. has raised $26,000 from its employees for the Edmonton Food Bank.
Of the total, $19,500 is from business technology, marketing and communications and other Edmonton-area employees. Corporately, PCL contributed an additional $6,500. An added incentive for employees to raise money was that managers with lower donation counts received a pie in the face.
“It’s part of our purpose at PCL to help better our communities in whatever ways we can. We are grateful for our success despite the challenges of this past year, and we’re fortunate to be able to give back and help people who are struggling to make ends meet, especially at this time of year. Thank you to everyone for making this campaign a success,” PCL president Dave Filipchuk said.
“It’s been another difficult year for society in general, but it’s been fantastic to see business technology and marketing and communications come together to show how our PCL culture rises to the occasion for those in need,” PCL CIO Mark Bryant added.
PCL is also encouraging others to donate to the Edmonton Food Bank over the holiday period.
