Langley secondary school to receive $28 million expansion
GOVERNMENT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA — Langley Secondary School is receiving a 300-seat, $28 million expansion Minister of Education and Child Care, Rachna Singh, announces at the school on June 9.

LANGLEY, B.C. — Langley Secondary School will receive a 300-seat, $28 million expansion to accommodate the community’s growth.

The Government of British Columbia is contributing $27.9 million to the project and the Langley School District $1 million, states a news release.

Construction is expected to begin in spring 2024 with students moving into the new classrooms for the fall 2025 school year.

“Langley is growing quickly and we’re committed to continuing to provide students, families and staff with the schools and expansions they need,” said Rachna Singh, minister of education and child care, in the release.

Besides increasing classroom space, the addition will include foods classrooms, a science lab and special education rooms.
