The Canadian government will contribute up to $3.8 million to help fund the Lac La Biche Biological Nutrient Removal Wastewater Treatment Facility in Lac La Biche, Alberta.
The county will invest $2.7 million for construction, and the government of Alberta will put in $12 million to the project. Federal funding is through the Private-Public Partnership Canada Fund.
The project will involve construction of a new biological nutrient removal wastewater facility, reconstruction of lagoon berms, replacement of existing aeration equipment, and disconnection of the existing force main.
