The City of Calgary will be rehabilitating the bridge at McKnight Boulevard over Nose Creek, which also known as Palmer Bridge.
The City of Calgary will be rehabilitating the bridge at McKnight Boulevard over Nose Creek, which also known as Palmer Bridge.
Construction work will entail a full deck rehabilitation, which will include new traffic barriers, pedestrian handrails and a slight widening of both sidewalks.
The left turn lane from westbound McKnight Boulevard to southbound Edmonton Trail NE will be extended to reduce traffic queue lengths.
Work began April 1, 2013 and continue through until September, 2013.
During the construction, the Roads Department will maintain four lanes of traffic during the a.m. and p.m. rush hour traffic times.
The department will be working closely with the contractor to ensure traffic is minimally impacted by this work.
The Nose Creek pathway that runs underneath the McKnight Boulevard NE bridge will remain open and overhead protection for pathway users will be provided by the contractor.<0x200B>
