Calgary completes sailing school expansion
The City of Calgary has completed a 226-square-metre classroom building at Glenmore Sailing School. The building features instruction space, changerooms, accessible washrooms and storage space for sailing equipment. The original classroom was built in 1966 and by 1981 no longer met amenity and space requirements for participants and a modular trailer was added to provide additional instruction space, which was decommissioned in 2017.
Regina begins $28.8 million overpass project
The City of Regina is kicking off a two-year project to overhaul the current Winnipeg Street North overpass and improve the configuration of the existing interchange and roadway network. The $28.8 million Winnipeg Street Overpass Project is funded in part by the Government of Canada, the Government of Saskatchewan, and the City of Regina is contributing $9.6 million to the project through the New Building Canada Fund Provincial-Territorial Infrastructure Component.
Saskatchewan celebrates Mining Week
The Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed May 30 to June 5 Mining Week with a theme of “Saskatchewan’s Critical Minerals Essential to Global Supply Chains.” This week’s events include a virtual launch, presentations and activities hosted by the Saskatchewan Mining Association.
