LANGLEY, B.C. — The Province of British Columbia has invited two pre-qualified bidding teams to participate in an RFP for elements of the Surrey Langley SkyTrain.
The two invited teams are South Fraser Guideway Connectors and SkyLink Guideway Partners. The current RFP is to design, build and finance the elevated guideway, roadworks, utilities and elements of active transportation, states a release.
South Fraser has Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc. and Pomerleau BC Inc. as its listed proponents. The three companies would be the design-build contractors while Parsons, Inc. would serve as design contractor.
The proponents of SkyLink Guideway Partners are Dragados Canada, Inc. and Ledcor Investments Inc. Design-build contractors are Dragados and Ledcor Mining Ltd. while the design contractor is SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies.
The chosen proponent will be announced in late fall 2023.
The province previously issued RFQs for the construction of eight new SkyTrain stations and for the systems and trackwork contract. Shortlisted proponents are expected to be announced in 2023 with contracts awarded next year.
