Two teams shortlisted for eight new Surrey Langley SkyTrain stations

SURREY, B.C. — South Fraser Station partners and SkyLink stations have been shortlisted for the second Surrey Langley SkyTrain contract.

The teams have advanced to the RFP stage to design and build eight new stations and cycling and walking paths, according to a news release.

  • South Fraser Station partners consists of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., Acciona Infrastructure Canada Inc., Pomerleau BC Inc. and AECOM Canada Ltd.
  • SkyLink stations partners is Dragados Canada Inc., Ledcor Construction Investments Ltd., SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies Inc. and IBI Group Architects (Canada) Inc.

The Government of British Columbia states the preferred proponent will be announced early 2024. The Surrey Langley SkyTrain is a 16-kilometre extension of the Expo Line.

The RFP for the first contract was issued on Jan. 3 and the chosen team is expected to be announced later this year.

The third and final contract is for the design and installation of SkyTrain track work and the design, installation and integration of electrical systems. It is currently in the RFQ stage with plans to announce the shortlisted firms this spring.
