VANCOUVER – Two workers in Vancouver had to be rescued after being trapped during shoring work.
According to reports from NEWS 1130, one worker was able to free himself but firefighters had to spend several hours freeing the other.
According to Godfrey Tait, a communications manager for the City of Vancouver’s engineering department, the incident involved a non-city crew conducting sewer work at a development on 5050 Joyce Street.
NEWS 1130 reported that one of the men was not injured in the incident and the other was in stable condition at hospital.
