No serious injuries after semi-truck carrying crane collides with Winnipeg overpass
WINNIPEG POLICE SERVICES - On May 2, a semi-truck carrying a construction crane collided with the Empress Street overpass in Winnipeg. Police told the Journal of Commerce no serious injuries occurred and Westbound traffic on Portage was reopened around 7 p.m. The investigation continues.

WINNIPEG – That’s going to leave a mark.

At 3 p.m. on May 2, a semi-truck carrying a construction crane collided with the Empress Street overpass in the city of Winnipeg causing road closures throughout the area, the Winnipeg Police Service told the Journal of Commerce.

The collision resulted in two other vehicles getting involved though no serious injuries have been reported.

The area around the Empress overpass is still closed while the traffic division investigates.
