ABERDEEN, SASK. — A new group home has broken ground in Aberdeen.

The project received $525,000 in annual funding from the province, bringing funding for Farm in the Dell to more than $1.4 million.

Rikkeal Bohmann, a representative for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services, confirmed the scope of the organization’s Aberdeen project as a new 2,643-square-foot group home with an attached two-bedroom, 672-square-foot Supported Independent Living Program suite.

“Total contract cost is estimated at approximately $697,655,” she said in an email.

The project will be developed by Rocy Developments Corporation and design was completed by CADvantage Design Ltd. The anticipated possession date is March 1, 2019.
