CALGARY, ALTA. — ATCO has unveiled the first completed tiny homes in a village setting for veterans struggling with homelessness.
ATCO is building the 275-square-foot houses for the Homes For Heroes Foundation based in Calgary. Each home is equipped with a kitchen, a three-piece bathroom and a living room with a Murphy bed.
There will be 18 homes grouped together in a village to provide a community and peer support structure, along with a resource centre and memorials to Canadian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Afghanistan. Each home will be named for a fallen soldier.
