Green Impact, PCL partner on Calgary ethanol project
Green Impact Partners unveiled a partnership this morning with Carbon Clean Energy and PCL Constructors to develop a large-scale bio-fuel facility to be located in Calgary. Once operational, the project is expected to be carbon negative and will produce over 300-million litres of ethanol annually, up to 2.5-million Btu of renewable natural gas and 2.3-million tonnes of carbon offset credits. A final investment decision to proceed to construction is expected later this year or early 2022.
Urban Agency unveils design proposal for ‘Vancouver Forest’ block
Dublin-based architecture firm Urban Agency has revealed its design proposal for a “Vancouver Forest” highrise apartment complex in Vancouver’s downtown core. A series of stepped terraces and extensive use of bamboo cross-laminated timber and cladding along with foliage on the terraces draw inspiration from the surrounding B.C. forests. Edmonton’s largest business park announced
Panattoni Development Company Canada and Manulife Investment Management have announced Apex Business Park Building 3, a 550,000-square-foot warehouse development located on 170th St. near Anthony Henday Derive and Highway 16. The two companies state the project is “the largest speculative development in the Edmonton market” and is currently under construction with occupancy scheduled for summer 2022.
