Delta set to receive $179 million, 200-bed long-term care facility by 2027

DELTA, B.C. – A new long-term care facility with 200 beds has been announced for construction in Delta, B.C.

Capital costs are being funded by $179.7 million from the Ministry of Health and the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation has committed to raising $18.5 million for the project, according to a news release.

Fraser Health will build and operate the centre on vacant land at the Delta Hospital. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2025 and finish in 2027.

The facility will replace the 92 beds at the aging Mountain View Manor and add 108 new beds, community spaces and services, art and activity rooms, a hair salon, a sacred space and a 32-space adult day program.

Each resident will have a single-bed room with a bathroom.

The project will also include a standalone child day care facility with 49 spaces.
