WINNIPEG — Assiniboine Community College in Manitoba announced the renaming of its School of Business to the Peters School of Business, following a landmark $10 million donation from Gord and Diane Peters.
This contribution marks the largest individual, family, or business donation received by the college and in the Westman region.
Gord Peters, co-founder of Cando Rail & Terminals, alongside Diane Peters, an alumna of Assiniboine’s Practical Nursing program, have been staunch supporters of the college. Their contribution aims to foster the growth of future business leaders and enhance the educational experience at the college.
According to the college’s website, the donation will greatly impact the development and advancement of the school of business, offering students enhanced opportunities for success in the business realm.
Drawing from his experience at Cando Rail & Terminals, Peters emphasized the value of education and mentorship in shaping the next generation of industry leaders.
