Graham awarded Regina long-term care home contract

REGINA, SASK. – Graham Construction recently announced it has been awarded an early contractor involvement contract for the Regina Specialized Long-Term Care project in Regina, Sask.

The project is expected to be built as a multi-storey building featuring ensuite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor multipurpose spaces with more details will be shared once the design is finalized, a Graham release said.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Government of Saskatchewan to deliver the new Regina Specialized Long-Term Care Home as a local contractor. Projects like this are immensely significant to us, and we take great pride in positively impacting our province and communities,” Graham Construction district manager Brad Kornum said in a statement.

The long-term care home will be built on a site owned by the Government of Saskatchewan located south of the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Regina Campus and the Saskatchewan Health Authority will own and operate the facility.

The home will focus on caring for individuals with dementia, cognitive and acquired brain injuries, and other complex behavioral needs, the release said.

Previous Graham projects in the medical space include the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, the Southwest Integrated Health Care Facility in Maple Creek, the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon and the recently completed Regina Urgent Care Centre.

Design will begin immediately, the release said, with construction expected to begin in early 2025.
