City of Calgary enhances development map
The City of Calgary has announced plans to enhance its development map, an online tool used by citizens and industry professionals to access planning information. The map allows anyone to view planning data via an interactive map on a 24/7 basis and applicants can view utility information like sanitary, storm, water line assignments, hydrant locations, rim elevations, pipe sizes, pipe lengths and pipe slopes. Saskatchewan selects fund manager for AgTech VC fund
The Province of Saskatchewan has selected Conexus Venture Capital Inc. (CVC) as the fund manager for the government’s $15 million AgTech venture capital investment. The investment will be part of CVC’s Emmertech fund, which invests in AgTech startups across Canada focusing on early-stage investments in digital farm technologies that will be used by producers.
Regina pool project construction begins
The City of Regina has announced the Wascana pool facility will soon begin construction, including a new accessible playground and spray pad. The city has awarded the tender to move forward with construction, which is expected to be completed for a first full season in 2023.
