Welcome back to the Five Pods of Xmas, where we talk to Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce staff and find out what they regard as the significant events and trends they covered in 2022 and what they’re looking forward to in 2023.
Evan has only recently joined the Journal of Commerce but he’s already enthusiastic about the reporting he’s done which he said revealed to him just how deeply embedded construction is in every facet of our society, and also singled out writing about the recovery work after massive flooding in British Columbia in 2021 as a learning experience and a deep dive into the science behind repairing both infrastructure and the environment.
He added he’s looking forward to covering prompt payment in 2023 both in terms of legislation and how it will affect B.C.’s construction industry.
