Design Build – Picture Butte Pool – New Pool

Tender Description

Site work and new construction of a swimming pool in Picture Butte, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a swimming pool.
The Town is seeking Construction management services to assist the Town in overseeing the design, construction and quality control aspects of building a new pool and pool building. The Town would like to complete the construction of the new pool and pool building by selecting a company that has the capabilities to design and build the pool and pool building. The construction manager will thus:

1. Assist the Town in overseeing the demolition of the existing pool and pool building.
2. Create a tender package and contract that outlines the services required from the design build company.
3. Assist and provide advice to the Town in selecting a design build company that has experience and the capacity to design and build the new pool and pool building.
4. Provide advice to the Town and to the design build company throughout all designing phases to ensure that:
a. The best possible design is chosen for the project.
b. The design will stay within the Town’s budget.
c. That appropriate materials are being designed for the pool and pool building.
5. Represent the Town in overseeing the design build company throughout the construction phase to ensure that:
a. The construction follows the approved design.
b. The construction meets the appropriate standards.
c. The design build company is delivering what was agreed upon.
6. Assist the Town in administering any warranty work that is needed.
