Field Management Services at Campbell Valley

Tender Description

Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Langley, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Metro Vancouver Regional District (Metro Vancouver) of its intent to contract with Hastie Brothers. This contract is to provide field management services for fields numbered, 2, 3, 15, 16, 26, 27, 28E, and 21 of the attached Schedule A – Site, located within Campbell Valley Regional Park in the Township of Langley. The term of this contract is from May 01, 2018 to April 30, 2021 with an estimated annual value of approximately $6,500. The resulting Agreement will provide one two-year extension option upon extension option for two additional years upon mutual agreement by both parties.

Metro Vancouver did not call for competitive bids for the following reasons:

Hastie Brothers has the necessary equipment and contacts unique to this type of land management and experience in working on the current fields.
Hastie Brothers has delivered services to similar businesses and demonstrated an ability to be adaptive, and provide good service.
Hastie Brothers has established working relationships and work history with the farming community.

Contractors with the required expertise, experience, resources and the proven ability to offer the same or better solution at a lower cost in the same timeframe will be key criteria with regard to the consideration of contractor objections. The Metro Vancouver Regional District’s decisions in this regard will be final.
