INVITATION  TO BID
Two Separate Roofing Projects

Sealed bids for each project (must be submitted in separate envelopes) will be received by the undersigned no later than:

• Closing date: no later than 15:00:00 (3:00:00 pm) local time

Bid No. 18-166-004 – Chantrell Creek Elementary –  Steep Slope Roof Replacement

Located at 2575 – 137 Street, Surrey.
The scope of work generally includes removal of existing roofing system (approx. 7,868sf), installation of a new metal roof system including new flashings and a 10-year RCABC Guarantee.

Bid No. 18-166-005 – Sunrise Ridge Elementary –  Steep Slope Roof Replacement

Located at 18690 – 60 Avenue, Surrey.
The scope of work generally includes removal of existing roofing system (approx. 10,589sf), installation of a new metal roof system including new flashings and a 10-year RCABC Guarantee.

The  Mandatory Site Visits for each school will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the time stated below at the main entrance of each school:

10:00 am – 11:00 am     Chantrell Creek Elementary
12:00 noon – 1:00 pm   Sunrise Ridge Elementary

Bid documents will be handed out to Qualified Roofing Contractors with RCABC active membership at each Site Visit. During the Site Visit Roofing Contractors are required to confirm existing site and building(s) conditions. Bids will not be accepted by Roofing Contractors who do not attend the entire scheduled Mandatory Site Visit for that particular project.

Each bid must be accompanied by a duly executed Bid Bond in the amount equal to 10% of the total amount of the bid and Consent of Surety by the surety company providing the 50% Labour and Material Bond and 50% Performance Bond of the bid price.

The lowest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted. School District No. 36 (Surrey) reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
