Sewer Pipe Road Crossings 127th and 66th Streets

Tender Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
127 Street Crossing:

– Replace 55.5 m of the Outfall Sewer and 56.1 m of the start sewer under 127 Street using open trenching (both replacement pipes shall be 1,050 mm nominal internal diameter)

– Construct 4 new manholes

-Abandon and/or remove 4 existing manholes

-Construct, maintain and remove a temporary detour road and implement traffic control measures during closure of 127 Street per Sturgeon County requirements

-Restoration of 127 Street and all other impacted land and features 66 Street Crossing:

– Rehabilitate 82 m of the existing 1,050 mm START sewer using slip lining or an alternative trenchless and fully-structural rehabilitation method as proposed by the Contractor and accepted by the owner

Replace (upsize) 92 m to 97 m of the Outfall sewer with a 1,500 mm nominal internal diameter pipe (two alignment options as specified herein) including use of a trenchless construction method to cross under 66 Street as proposed by the Contractor and accepted by the owner

-Construct 3 or 5 new manholes (depending on Outfall Sewer replacement option as selected by the Contractor)

-Replace 1 manhole

-Restoration of all impacted land and features and as specified in the contract documents. The work is the third phase of a program that will continue in the upcoming years to rehabilitate/replace the entire start line (approximately 18 km long) and upsize the Outfall line.
