Strathallen readies 95 acres on Highway 400 for development

TORONTO — Strathallen Capital Corp. has announced plans to service 95 acres of employment and commercial lands on Highway 400 north of Toronto to ready them for future development or sale.

The 95 acres on the southwest corner of Highways 400 and 88 in Bradford West Gwillimbury, is subdivided into 15 blocks of land to be sold or developed by Strathallen, said a media statement.

Two parcels of land have already been sold to significant owner-users, the statement noted.

“With town infrastructure works progressing and on track to service these highway lands by mid 2018, the widening of Highway 400, and with incredible increases in land prices in the GTA over the past 18 months, we have benefitted from buyers seeking accessible, well-priced lands on a 400-series highway,” said Grant Pretorius, vice-president of development at Strathallen, in the statement.

“We expect an increased pace of sales and development following construction in 2018 of a new 240,000-square-foot premises on 15 acres by MiTek Canada.”
