TCA offers virtual statutory declaration signing services

TORONTO — The Toronto Construction Association (TCA) is now Commissioning Statutory Declarations virtually via video conferencing, due to COVID-19.

The service is being offered free of charge to members and can be easily accessed from a home office.

If you require the signature of a commissioner of oaths, sign-up to become a member immediately. The virtual commissioning process will be as follows:

• Email statdec@tcaconnect.com to set up the video conference;
• Commissioning staff will ask for identification in order to verify the member’s identity. Have your picture identification ready;
• Once confirmed you will sign the Statutory Declarations while the commissioning staff witness. You will then need to scan and send it by email; and
• Once received, the commissioning staff will print and verify the signature that they witnessed and if everything is satisfactory they will sign and email it back.
