SNC-Lavalin lands deal with Avangrid
SNC-Lavalin announced this morning it has been awarded a three-year Master Services Agreement with Avangrid Service Company to provide owner engineering services for the electric capital projects developed by Avangrid’s U.S. electric companies. Under the agreement, valued at US$15 million over three years, SNC-Lavalin Engineering Services will provide Avangrid with engineering resources for disciplines that include electrical, protection and control, civil as well as transmission lines.

Feds to support Quebec metallurgy project
The federal government will hold a media conference tomorrow to announce financial support for the Cegep de Trois–Rivieres Centre de metallurgie du Quebec project. The 9:15 a.m. announcement will be made on behalf of the minister of economic development and official languages and minister responsible for Canada economic development for Quebec regions and the minister of economy and innovation.
Groundbreaking marks launch of 11 Yorkville
RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust, Metropia and Capital Developments today announced they have held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially mark the start of construction on their 11 Yorkville project in Toronto. Once complete, the 62-storey tower will feature 593 residences, a 43,000-square-foot, double-storey retail space and a new city parkette.
