PORT SEVERN, ONT. — An employee of Hamilton-based geotechnical firm Soletanche Bachy Canada has died as a result of injuries suffered on a construction project in Port Severn, Ont. on Dec. 8.
A report from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development stated that the worker sustained fatal injuries while working with heavy machinery. The contractor for the project is Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd.
A ministry inspector was assigned to the project and one requirement was issued to Maple Reinders. The investigation is continuing.
