The Nanaimo Cruise Ship Terminal, designed by Chekwitch Poiron Architects Inc. of Nanaimo, British Columbia has been given a "Design Is" Award from Shaw Contract Group Design.
The Nanaimo Cruise Ship Terminal, designed by Chekwitch Poiron Architects Inc. of Nanaimo, British Columbia has been given a "Design Is" Award from Shaw Contract Group Design.
The terminal was spotlighted for its use of warm, inviting wood and adoption of First Nations art into the design. The project was also noted for its sustainability.
The award is in its seventh year and winners are chosen from commercial spaces around the planet. There were 285 entries this year from 19 countries.
