Former chief Meekis joins Frontier board
Frontier Lithium today announced that former Chief of Sandy Lake First Nation Bart Meekis will join its board of directors. Meekis is a member of the Oji-Cree First Nation of northwestern Ontario. Frontier is a pre-production business with holdings in the Electric Avenue region of northern Ontario, targeting the manufacturing of battery–quality lithium hydroxide to support electric vehicle and battery supply chains in North America.
Housing announcement for Cree council in Quebec
The federal government and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation will join Dr. Abel Bosum, grand chief of The Grand Council of the Crees in northern Quebec, for a housing announcement this morning. Later in the day there will be another First Nations housing announcement in Alberta.
McKinsey to host global infrastructure summit
McKinsey and Company’s Global Infrastructure Initiative has issued invitations for a virtual infrastructure summit to take place April 6 to 8. The event is said to gather “the most senior leaders in infrastructure to drive a critical global discussion about the future of infrastructure and the imperative for action.”
Zoomlion exports super crane to Turkey
Chinese manufacturer Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co. today announced it has signed an order with Turkey’s largest crane equipment leasing company to import the ZCC32000W, a 2000-ton crawler crane, setting a new record for the largest tonnage crane to be manufactured in China. Valued at $US15.3 million, the products for export include the ZCC32000W crawler crane as well as the ZCC9800W which is dubbed “the King of Wind Power.”
