CCA conference kicks off today
The Canadian Construction Association’s three-day virtual conference starts today with a tribute to outgoing chair Joe Wrobel and an incoming address by new chair Ray Bassett. The kickoff keynote address by General (Ret’d) Rick Hillier was scheduled for noon. Watch for extensive Daily Commercial News coverage of all three days.
B.C. premier to address COFI convention
B.C. Premier John Horgan will address delegates at the BC Council of Forest Industries 2021 convention on April 8. The virtual conference will also feature a keynote address from Canada’s ambassador to the United States Kirsten Hillman, a panel discussion on advancing reconciliation through partnerships and a discussion with forest industry CEOs.
Final steel beam installed at Pacific Centre Mall
PCL construction has installed the final beam at the Cadillac Fairview Pacific Centre Mall in downtown Vancouver which completed the new cantilevered roof structure. A total of 1,147 beams were installed in partnership with Whitemud Ironworks Limited.
