MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development has issued a total of four workplace orders and requirements following a fatal workplace incident that occurred at an asphalt plant, Furmar Dixie Road, in Mississauga on Monday.
A man was pronounced dead on the scene around 2 p.m. April 26 after being hit by a front–end loader, Peel Police reported. The plant is located on Dixie Road near Shawson Drive.
Two ministry inspectors continue to investigate the mishap. One requirement and two orders have been issued to Furmar Dixie Road and one requirement was issued to the employer, Robert Young Construction Ltd.
