TORONTO – Two workers who were stuck in a trench in an industrial incident in North York had to be rescued yesterday.
Emergency crews attended the scene located in the area of Don Mills Road and Goodview Road around 3:30 p.m. May 17.
The Ministry of Labour Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) reported that a trench collapsed and two workers were injured. One was taken to hospital in serious condition and the other was rescued a short time later and taken to hospital with minor injuries, reports state.
The reported constructor is Modern Plumbing and Drain Ltd.
An MLTSD inspector attended the scene and one order and one requirement were issued to the constructor. MLTSD’s investigation ongoing.
