The world’s largest industrial auctioneer conducted its largest ever auctions last week from Dec. 4 through 6 – selling more than $72 million of equipment in Montreal and Saskatoon.
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sold all the items to the highest bidder without any minimum bids or reserve prices.
More than 4,300 bidders from 34 countries participated in the two-day auction in Montreal.
More than 1,400 of agricultural equipment and trucks were sold for more than $30 million during the Saskatoon auction.
The event was considered a huge success by drawing in an assorted and international group of bidders.
“Our auctions in Montreal and Saskatoon this week showcased the power of attracting a diverse audience of bidders from around the world,” said Jessy Cantin, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “Bidders came from more than 35 countries to bid on the large selection of late model equipment items and trucks features in the two auctions, which allowed us to achieve true global market value on auction day.”
The auction in Montreal auctioned more than $21 million to bidders from outside of Quebec. Almost $11 million of equipment was sold to bidders from outside of Saskatchewan during the auction in Saskatoon.
