Facade work has begun on the SmartCentres new self-storage rental facility on Milner Avenue in Toronto.
The project by SmartCentres Real Estate Investment Trust in a joint-venture arrangement with SmartStop Asset Management, LLC will consist of one five-storey building with approximately 900 storage units. The owner is SmartCentres REIT Inc. and the general contractor is Cecchini Group Inc. The project was designed by Petroff Partnership Architects and consultants are Mirkwood Engineering (structural); Quasar Consulting Group (mechanical/electrical); Terraprobe Ltd. (geotechnical); Counterpoint Engineering (civil); and MHBC Planning Inc. (landscape).
