Feds fund assisted living in Winnipeg
The federal government today announced $25.8 million in funding to help build Misericordia Terrace, an assisted living centre in Winnipeg that will include 97 rental housing units for seniors. The funding comes from the government’s National Housing Co-investment Fund.
The project is currently under construction at 691 Wolseley Ave.
ULI Toronto presents Emancipation Month webinar
The Toronto branch of the Urban Land Institute will hold a webinar on the GTA’s colonial history and its implications for the future of infrastructure, private land development and the public realm on Aug. 19 to recognize Emancipation Month. The event, starting at noon, is billed as Colonialism, Enslavement and Abolition in the Greater Golden Horseshoe. An overview presentation will be delivered by Natasha Henry, president of the Ontario Black History Society.
Gateway Property merges with Tribe Property
Tribe Property Technologies today announced that effective July 31 its wholly owned subsidiary Tribe Management Inc. has amalgamated with Gateway Property Management. The subsidiary will continue to operate as Tribe Management Inc. across Canada. Tribe offers tech and services for building and managing residential communities including pre- and post-construction deficiency management, warranty tracking tools, condo, rental and commercial management services and smart building software.
State of Youth report to be released tomorrow
Federal Minister of Diversity and Inclusion and Youth Bardish Chagger will release a federal State of Youth Report tomorrow accompanied by young people who contributed to the report. Live streaming of the 11:30 a.m. E.T. announcement will be available on the Leaders Today Facebook page.
