Toronto Hydro adopts mandatory vaccination policy
Toronto Hydro has announced it will be instituting a mandatory vaccination policy that requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The utility says it will implement the policy on the timelines adopted by the City of Toronto, with employees required to demonstrate proof of vaccination with an approved COVID-19 vaccine by Sept. 13, 2021. Employees who are unable to be vaccinated will be provided with accommodation in accordance with applicable law, a statement explained.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole will be in Brantford and Hamilton, Ont., with an announcement late morning and an event with supporters in the evening; Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is in Surrey, B.C. to make an announcement on housing; NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is in Windsor, Ont. where he will make an announcement on the cost of living, make another announcement at a pumping station and meet with local candidates.
Defense Metals reaches drilling milestone
Defense Metals Corp. today announced it has completed steep terrain drill pad construction in preparation for commencement of its 2021 Wicheeda Rare Earth Element Deposit diamond drill program at its site located 80 kilometres northeast of Prince George, B.C. Defense Metals has now completed four timber drill pads in preparation for its 2021 diamond drilling program, which is expected to commence in early September.
Today is Lake Erie Day
