Campus Developments completes Ottawa student housing job
CAMPUS DEVELOPMENTS — The two phases of the Revalie student housing project in Ottawa will contain over 850 units and 30,000 square feet of retail space. Phase one is now open with phase two scheduled for groundbreaking next June. The developer is Campus Developments.

OTTAWA — Campus Developments has announced the official opening of the first phase of a student housing project, The Revalie Ottawa, at 770 Brookfield Rd. in Ottawa

The facility, phase one of two, features over 400,000 square feet of space with 426 furnished apartments (705 beds), 30,000 square feet of amenity spaces and 20,000 square feet of onsite retail, stated an Oct. 16 release. Amenity spaces include 20,000 square feet of private and communal study areas and lounges and a 6,500-square-feet fitness centre with cardio and strength areas, spinning and yoga studios.

Connected to the fitness centre by way of a glass bridge is The Clubhouse, a 4,500-square-foot social lounge and games room with pool tables, table tennis and video-gaming. Other features include The Studio, with space for film and audio recording; a chef’s kitchen, a commercial-grade kitchen to host cooking and baking classes; and The Overlook, a terrace lounge with an outdoor seating area overlooking a courtyard and patio.

Partners in the project included Woodbourne, Campus Developments’ investment partner and also the asset manager for the project; contractor EllisDon; and Hobin Architecture. Onsite property management is being provided by Campus Living Centres.

Phase two of the development is scheduled to begin construction in June of next year.

When completed, phase two will add an additional 426 units (705 beds) as well as another 10,000 square feet of retail space.

Imran Shaikh, CEO of Campus Developments, stated, “Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to complete the construction of our 400,000-plus-square-foot The Revalie Ottawa development in 20 months.

This tremendous accomplishment would not have happened without the support of the wonderful city of Ottawa and the hard work of our development team.

“We are very pleased that The Revalie will further contribute to the transformation of the Riverside area into an increasingly vibrant community.”
