OSHAWA, ONT. — A worker is dead following a workplace incident in Oshawa this morning (March 16).
Emergency crews responded to the incident, which occurred at 8:45 a.m. on Waverly Street North near Adelaide Avenue in Oshawa.
Media reports indicate the worker, an arborist, was using a woodchipper at the time of the incident. Paramedics treated the worker but he died at the site.
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development was notified of the incident and an inspector has been assigned.
The investigation is ongoing.
