TORONTO – An incident at Janco Steel in Stoney Creek, Ont. has sent a man to hospital without vital signs.
The incident occurred this morning (April 26) at 10:30 a.m.
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development was notified of the incident. It was reported a worker was injured by industrial material, stated a spokesperson from the MLTSD in a statement to the Daily Commercial News, adding two ministry inspectors are on scene.
According to media reports, paramedics responded to the incident and performed lifesaving measures at the scene. The man, in his 30s, was transported to the hospital without vital signs.
The ministry’s investigation is ongoing.
