CALEDON, ONT. — A man was airlifted to hospital after a concrete slab fell on him at a worksite in Caledon, Ont.
The incident occurred on July 25 on Abbotside Way at 7:52 a.m.
Caledon OPP responded the industrial incident, stated a spokesperson in an email to the Daily Commercial News.
“The investigation revealed that a slab of concrete had fallen on a worker,” the spokesperson stated. “A 54-year-old from Caledon was transported to a trauma centre by air ambulance. The injuries were deemed non-life threatening.”
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development was called to the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
