TORONTO — The Ontario General Contractors Association (OGCA) is joining forces with the Canadian Association of Women in Construction to hold their first Women in Construction Gala.
The event will be held April 28 at Universal Event Space on Highway 7 in Vaughan, Ont. The intent is to provide OGCA members with a platform to showcase strategies for success, stated a release.
“The goal of this new OGCA event is to celebrate women in construction and recognize the yet untapped potential of women in the construction sector,” said the statement. “Women make up roughly 50 per cent of the population in Ontario and yet to date we have only attracted a small percentage of women into construction as a career destination.”
Opportunities for sponsorship are available. For more information visit the event website.
