OTTAWA — With the response deadline approaching, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and Canadian Architect are reminding architects to participate in the partners’ Canadian Architectural Practices Benchmark Survey.
The survey asks architects for input on billings, benefits, performance appraisals and other practices by Canadian architectural firms. It was launched March 7 and closes April 21.
The survey is being conducted by Bramm Research. A release explained that data collected will allow firms to compare themselves across a spectrum of criteria, “providing possibilities to identify areas of strength, challenge and opportunity.”
The survey was last undertaken in 2011 and publication is expected in fall/winter 2023.
The survey will cover 16 areas of inquiry including demographic information, coverage and benefits, billing practices, expenses, marketing activities, equity and Indigenous reconciliation practices, consultants used and office information.
