Montoni breaks ground on $450M industrial complex in Saint-Bruno
MONTONI — Montoni Group is targeting Canada's Zero-Carbon Building, Design and Performance standard and the LEED Gold Core and Shell standard with its new Saint-Bruno, Que. complex.

SAINT-BRUNO, QUE. — Montoni Group recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Ecoparc Saint-Bruno multi-industry complex in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Que. and announced the site’s first two tenants: Master Group and Colabor.

Colabor will move into its new facilities in fall 2023 while Master Group will take possession in fall 2024, stated a release.

When completed, the $450-million, two-building complex will comprise 1.6 million square feet of leasable logistics space. The site is located near the junction of two major roadways, Autoroute 30 and Route 116.

Montoni is targeting two environmental certifications: Canada’s Zero-Carbon Building, Design and Performance, and the LEED Gold Core and Shell. The owner aims to achieve a zero-carbon footprint.

Montoni will preserve all 470,000 square feet of the site’s natural habitats along with the creation of 842,000 square feet of green spaces.

The Master Group is active in distributing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. The firm will relocate its head office to Saint-Bruno and consolidate its Eastern Canada distribution operations there.

Colabor is a wholesaler of food and food-related products; it too will be moving its head office to the new complex.

“I am immeasurably proud of the interest generated in this multi-use green industrial campus, which is setting a new net-zero-carbon standard in the industrial building category. We are committed to developing sustainable buildings with our clients’ values as a core element of our business vision,” stated Dario Montoni, president of Montoni Group, in a statement.
