TORONTO — Avison Young has announced the appointment of Ted Davis as COO for Canada.
Based in Toronto, Davis will be reporting to Avison Young Canada president Mark Fieder and Global COO Martin Dockrill.
A release said Davis’s responsibilities will include streamlining Canadian operations across the country and preparing for future operations.
Davis has 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, including a term as managing director of Avison Young’s southwestern Ontario and Toronto West regions.
“Ted is an exceptional leader with deep knowledge of our organization and industry, and a wealth of experience in driving revenue and operational excellence; I have every confidence that he will help fuel our future,” said Fielder in a statement. “Since joining the firm in 2010, Ted has been instrumental in bringing teams together to create value for clients in his market, and we are excited to see him do this at the national level.”
The firm also announced that Joe Almeida, managing director of Avison Young’s Toronto office, will assume the role of managing director, Ontario. Almeida will support Davis, who will continue with his responsibilities as managing director of Toronto West.
