VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) has extended its nomination period for 2023 Outstanding Achievement Awards to Aug. 8.
All nominations submitted by that time must include a description outlining why the individual or company is being nominated, a brief biography or company history and a minimum of two reference letters with contact information.
As part of the process three Silver Award winners will be selected in 17 project categories for “their use of innovative techniques, new materials, and/or exceptional project management,” the Awards of Excellence site states.
Categories include general, mechanical, electrical and trade contractors at various project budget levels, manufacturers and suppliers, an environmental and sustainability award, a heritage award and lifetime achievement award and life member inductees.
Additional categories include construction workplace and safety innovation, superior safety record and zero frequency injury rate awards, education leadership, outstanding woman in construction, the Young Construction Leaders Excellence in Construction award, a zero-emissions building leadership award and a member of the year award.
At the 2023 Awards of Excellence gala, taking place on Oct. 17 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, one Silver Award winner from each category will be chosen as the Gold Award winner.
