WorkSafeBC extends hours of Teleclaim Contact Centre

In response to feedback from customers, WorkSafeBC is extending the operating hours of its Teleclaim Contact Centre.

The old schedule for the centre was from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The schedule has now been extended to 6:00 p.m.

Teleclaim allows workers to call in to report injuries, rather than filling out and submitting forms. A client services representative completes their injury report, explains the claims process and also helps workers access other services as necessary.

The worker’s employer is also notified about the injury and both parties can track the status of the claim online.
