Alberta Venture magazine and Merit Contractors Association have announced the winners of the 2015 Contractor of the Year Awards.
According to the event’s organizers, the companies represent the best of the best in Alberta’s construction industry and were chosen for their outstanding leadership in the sector.
The Contractor of the Year Awards Gala was held on Thursday, April 16 at The Westin Edmonton. Over 250 people representing the construction industry were in attendance to celebrate the achievements of Alberta’s top performing construction companies.
Kemway Contractors (2006) Ltd. won for general contractor under $50 million with PCL taking the over $250 million category.
EverLine Coatings & Services won for trade contractor under $15 million and Muth Electrical Management won for over $15 million.
Taurus Projects Group took the award for heavy civil contractor.
Brent Fillmore, president of Fillmore Construction was honoured for his leadership, and commitment to excellence in the construction industry with Construction Person of the Year.
"It’s been another impressive year of eye-catching projects by Alberta’s finest builders," said Michael Ganley, editor of Alberta Venture. "And a special congratulations to Brent Fillmore of Fillmore Construction, a mainstay of the provincial industry and this year’s Construction Person of the Year."
