Mattamy launches projects in Oakville, Etobicoke
MATTAMY — Mattamy’s BLVD Q mid-rise residence on the Queensway in east Toronto was designed by TACT Architecture.

TORONTO — Mattamy Homes marked two homebuilding milestones in the Greater Toronto Area recently, breaking ground on its Carding House development in Oakville and launching sales for a new mid-rise residence on the Queensway in east Toronto, called BLVD Q.

BLVD Q will be a mixed-use residential development standing at 11 storeys. Designs are by TACT Architecture and Mason Studios is the interior designer.

Amenities will include quiet co-working zones, independent workspaces, a cocktail lounge for social gatherings or private events, terraces, fitness areas, dining spots and lounging areas.

“Our vision for BLVD Q was to create a building that not only revitalizes the retail street but also becomes a model neighbour for the community,” stated Mike Lock of TACT in a release. “The project exemplifies the principles of what we refer to as ‘Warm Modernism,’ combining clean lines, warm materials and articulation of the building mass into smaller, more approachable pieces to create an inviting architecture.”

Carding House will be a five-storey, 157-unit mid-rise with boutique condos and townhomes located in The Preserve, near Harman Gate and Dundas Street West in Oakville.

“Carding House represents an exciting chapter in Oakville’s growth story,” stated Shane Cooney, senior vice-president, development with Mattamy. “Our aim is to provide the Oakville community with the perfect blend of modern comfort and the timeless charm this city is known for. It’s an honour to break ground on this project and contribute to Oakville’s bright future.”
