Work continues on the new Fort Nelson River Bridge on Highway 77, located 70 kilometres northwest of Fort Nelson, B.C. The project involves upgrading the current single lane bridge to a two lane structure, as well as upgrading piers, abutments and piles under the bridge to accommodate the expansion.
A contract for $22.58 million was awarded to Forbes Industrial Contractors Ltd. of Prince George, with the province of British Columbia providing $19.6 million and the federal government chipping in $15.4 million.
