Work recently shut down on the four-laning project from 8th Street to Rolla Road in Dawson Creek, B.C. as winter temperatures made work difficult. Before the shutdown, the first layer of pavement was laid on the 5.9 km section, with work on the pavement to resume in the spring as temperatures warm up.
Brocor Construction Ltd. is the general contractor for the project. Traffic lights were also activated and the route was switched to a four-lane operation. The B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure estimates completion of the project by summer 2016.
